Launch of a success story

Challenge

Gruttz started in 2020 with the question: ''How can we make shaving for men, both for bodyshaving as in sensitive areas, easier, more efficient and less time-consuming?'' Gruttz saw a huge demand for how shaving intimate parts could be safer and more efficient. Their market research showed that 82% of all partners would prefer that his or her (bed) partner has a shaved body. After launching a successfully selling product, Gruttz and Finesse got around the table to expand their brand strategy and email marketing strategy.

The biggest challenge for Gruttz lay in creating more growth outside bol.com's local marketplace. This would have to be achieved through their own Shopify store and by using social ads, which have to be deployed. This way, the company would be able to serve a larger market than just the one that falls within the confines of bol.com.

Goal

The main goal was to increase the CLV of customers by having them return more often to the Gruttz' website and by incentivising customers to spend more.

We planned on doing that by expanding their email automations and consistent campaign planning. Deliverables were:

  • Thank you series
  • Abandoned cart flow
  • Browse abandonment flow
  • Site abandonment flow
  • Welcome series + smart welcome popup
  • 2 email campaigns per week

Solution

We drafted a brand strategy, project timeline and concept email campaigns to showcase ideas. After back and forth feedback final designs were implemented.

By combining product promos and sharp offers with valuetainment like product tips, guidelines and behind-the-scenes content we gained momentum in the email engagement. More opens, more clicks, and more conversion.

The total monthly recurring revenue of the webshop has grown with 22% through the channel of email alone.

Their list of email profiles has exploded 10x.

And all other metrics like open rate, click rate and conversion rate have improved across the board. Improving sales, lowering cart abandonments, and increasing returning customers.

All in all, a successful collaboration and a satisfied client.
